Home and Away commenced airing on the Seven Network 17th of January 1988. The series follows the lives of the residents of Summer Bay a fictional seaside town in New South Wales. Over 6000 episodes have aired since 1988 making it the second longest running drama series behind Neighbours on Australian Television.
The series initially focused around the Fletcher Family and their five foster children who lived in Summer Bay House and ran the local caravan park.
