Aussie Television - A Country Practice
A Country Practice ran on the Seven Network from the 18th of November 1981 to the 22nd of November 1993. A reworked version had a short run on Network Ten in 1994. At the time of it's demise it was the longest running Drama series to have aired on Australian Television.
The series was set in the fictional rural New South Wales town of Wandin Valley based around four main venues, the local hospital, the town's veterinary clinic, the local police station and the towns RSL Club. With a focus on Australian native animals the series also had international appeal. The most famous of all was Fatso the wombat. Search for your favourite Aussie Television Programme
